In the US, low income Black birthing people are especially vulnerable to adverse birth outcomes. #Doula care is linked to improved perinatal outcomes and health disparities. At #theNAABB we believe that all Black birthing people have the right to a #Doula or other professional birthing support people, regardless of socioeconomic status.

One way to accomplish this is to ensure that all pregnant individuals enrolled in #Medicaid have access to #Doula services - the #DoulaMedicaidProject aims to do just that!
