Come on yall. We know that the western way of existing has only been “perfected” in the last 50 years. AND it’s not perfect. We have some of the highest rates of maternal mortality, infant mortality and infertility among Black and Indigenous uterine having people in the developed world. This “perfection” was made possible with the literal bodies of our ancestors, leaving us with unnamed amounts of trauma. There are other ways.
It’s been past time to return and reclaim our birthing bodies, choices and knowledge.
