Birth Work is Grief work

Birth work is grief work.

As a doula, I’m always reminding my birth clients that they always need to make space to grieve things that will change before & after their pregnancy & birth.

Grieve their pre-pregnancy body (to make space for love for their new body) grieve the family that they used to have (to make space for for the new one), grieve their former life (to make way for the changes)

As joyous as birth can be, I ask that clients make space for grief as well.

Loss & grief plans are just as important as birth & postpartum plans.

If you’re interested in processing & unpacking grief during your pregnancy or postpartum journey, book a $20 birth doula session @
