I won’t ever forget this. This was my exact face. During my client’s DELIVERY, their whyte Dr. kept saying “You Got This, Girlfriend!”
I was hot about it. I will never understand why whyte women (in this case their Dr.) feel so comfortable & free to call Black femmes “girlfriend”.
During postpartum visit, I asked my client if their Dr. normally called them “girlfriend”. And how they felt about it…
