Creating and cultivating your birth crew, is really crucial to your birth experience. Having the right people around you will help you shine. You need to feel safe, supported and loved, hell you need to feel like your being worshipped. YOU are birthing a human into existence. It is a big deal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your chosen people need to have your back. It’s a massive responsibility and a big honour. Who you choose can be anyone who makes you feel safe, your partner, lover, friend or a family member. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You can also bring a doula in to your bubble, make sure you find a doula that is aligned with your needs, choosing the right person is essential, the connection is a sacred one. Doulas are part of the crew whilst also holding and keeping the birth space safe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It is essential to know that this also includes your caregiver. It is often assumed that you have to make do with your midwife or doctor, if at any point during your birth your caregiver is making you feel unsafe, you have every right to show them the door and request someone else. Your birth your rules.
